Eligible To Bear Arms?

so i went to sprauges and asked to see if i could still own a gun and i filled out a paper and stuff and the guy called and i guess they said that i have to wait a couple days till i know if i can or not....well like 2 years ago i got caught with a gun in california and did 4 months in juvenile hall and did probation for a year...now 2 years later im 18 and ive changed my life around , havent had any encouinters with the police or anything....my question is ..would i be not eligible to own guns since i got caught with one..i believe it was a felony... but now im 18 and supossedly the record closes or watever and even the probation office (the main office) gave me a paper saying that all my cases were closed as of 2009..so im guessing im still eligible ........help? what do you guys think theyll say..the reason im trying to know if im still eligible is because im trying to join the marine corp..my recruiter said it is possible to join if i can still bear arms,... HELP!??
