Is 2012 end of the World as we Know it really going to Happen?

Yes, I agree. I heard this scientist say that if the government told people the truth of what we can expect to happen in the near future then everybody would give up their jobs. This was a few years ago. I also heard how in America the governments have moved out all their weapons and in this underground bunk they are storing water and food etc, like there are getting prepared for something. So what do they know that the're not telling us? If something big does happen in 2012 they will probably just blame the public.
