Women, question about experience with men...?

How much do women really care about a man's past relationships? Granted getting an honest answer could be hard, but would you want to know every gory detail, numbers, etc, or does it just not bother you at all? Is it possible a guy who has not had many relationships would be worse than having a ton? If so, why?
