If you rent a house, does your landlord have to....?

We are renting a home and our lease is up on April 30th 2008. We have noticed that we have some unwanted "visitors" mice! I called the landlord acouple of weeks ago about it and they said that they would have some traps brought over and they never did. We set up some of the "sticky" ones but they have chewed their way out of the traps. They are inside our cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. We already took out all of our dishes and have put them on the counter but the office still hasn't taken care of the problem. What should I do? I am disgusted at the thought of mice in our home and I heard one get out of the trap this morning....ewww...what can I do? Don't they have to do something?

I volunteer at a wildcat sanctuary and there are only small/medium sized cats there (bobcats, cougars, lynxes) and it's a LOT of work. And it will cost you a lot of money, so be sure to be ready to ask for grant money. Being able to set up a sanctuary and house wild animals all depends on your state and county laws so you'll have to research those. You also may need to have a license to own them. But most importantly you'll need lots of patience. I would recommend volunteering or working at a wildcat sanctuary for awhile before you jump into owning your own. It can be a lot of fun, but a lot of work, too.

Their standard of living will still be better than that of 95 percent of the entire country. People should really go into medicine because they want to help others and not for the money. We have to try an unusual method about health care now because the usual method obviously isn't working. So I will ask you all again. What is it about universal health care that has everyone with their panties caught in a bind when it's worked just fine in all the other developed nations?

Descending is harder for me then ascending on guitar... HELP!?

When I shred, I can ascend pretty quick, but when it's time to go back and descend (up toward the low E string), I mess up terribly (like I hesitate and don't know what to do). Basically, descending is harder for me than ascending... What can I do so that my ascending improves and becomes as good as my descending (or better)? Why is there no hot water?

Ok... Im havng issue's with the hotwater in my bathtub. Problem:little hot water coming out. Recently whn i shower the cold water shoots out like a bullet but once i turn the nob to hot water it dripps.. Its pretty annoying and takes forevr to bath. This has just startd tho.. My baby has been congested since we brought her home from the hospital, she is now 7 months!!?

My baby has a similar issue, she is 4 montns and she sounds congested in her nose, yet she can breath out of it, and her chest sounds is clear, several docs have listened to her and said her chest was clear (she has been seen by several doctors because she was a preemie, not because of the nose issue). I also use a vaporizer in the room and will use saline and a suction bulb for her nose and do sometimes get out white mucous. I was told in the NICU sometimes it IS normal for some babies, and that her "junky" breathing could be the result of reflux, or silent reflux (where her milk will reflux while she is laying down, not enough to come out her mouth but just enough to go up the back of her throat and irritate her nasal pages). I have tried looking up info on "junky breathing" but get info on congested lungs, not just noses, maybe you will have better luck, but for now I was told to just keep doing what I have been doing: vaporizer, saline drops and bulb suction, and as long as her mucous don't turn yellow and she continues to breath through her nose things should be fine and she may outgrow it sometime because it could be the silent reflux issue.

You really aren't going to have much of a choice here; applications for 4-year schools are due in the fall and early spring, so you can't do anything to your GPA that will make them consider you. Raise it as far as you can and plan to start at community college. Keep in mind your GPA in high school is failing by college standards, and college cles, even community colleges, are a lot harder than high school. It's really too late to fix this at the last minute.

Poetry is the writer, nothing more, if you write it, and say it's a poem, it is, it's that simple. Looks to me like this is right from you. When I started writing, people would tell me if it doesn't rhyme it's not a poem, but none of my junk (my name for what I write) rhymes, but poetry is a form more than anything else, and this is a great poem! I call what I write poetry, because of the form, and this is a poem, don't let anybody tell you different. Good job.

There is often times too much emphasis put on the college major. The key is to get a degree and then go from there. Just do something that interests you. I majored in Communication (Political Science too) as well. It was a great skill for me, because like you, I suffered from confidence issues. And sometimes you've got to conquer something that is holding you back before you can go beyond that. I applaud that decision, because it shows that you are thoughtful. You don't need a business degree to be successful, so don't worry about that. And if you want to go into banking, be sure that is what you want to do. Your career choice is what is the most important decision for you. I've gone on to get a master's degree and have been successful in the consulting field. Confidence isn't my struggle any longer, and I can attribute a lot of this to my college major. By the way, apply to another Starbucks, or apply to that one again. You may even want to contact the hiring manager and ask for some feedback that might help you later on when interviewing for future jobs. For now, being a waiter at Chili's isn't so bad. I did my time at O'Charley's. So tell jerks that refer to you as loser to take a walk off a short pier, get a degree that interests you, find a career that you can get up everyday and enjoy. Hang in there, this time in your life can be difficult if you let it. But enjoy this time, because you'll look back and think it was some of the best times in your life.

I had a cat scan with contrast material on my lungs this friday. Earlier today I started getting a burning, itchy rash on my nuckles. Mathematical Biology?

I'm currently in my 3rd year and am a double major in genetics and math. So far for math, I have been taking the courses that are required of both pure and applied math majors (real ysis, abstract algebra, numerical ysis, etc) so I haven't yet decided whether I want to do pure math or applied math. I was originally only planning to be a genetics major, but after working a year in a biochemistry lab I found I couldn't stomach working with bodily fluids and chemicals as a career after college. I still find genetics to be very exciting, when I am sitting in front of a book. I know what mathematical biology means from Wiki, but what I wish to know is whether a mathematical biology lab similar to that of a biochemistry lab (with mice gore and stuff) or is it a more sterile environment with only computers and machines here and there? Otherwise I might just do either pure or applied math in econ or actuarial science.

Your appendix is located half way between ur bellyon and hip bone if there is a constant pain in that location chances are high that it is. If it is more closer to ur ribcage and bellyon it could be ur gall bladder. However u do not want to mess around with this cause it could be an appi. And the only way to tell is with an ultrasound at a hospital. U need to go straight to an E.R cause a ruptured appi will kill u in minutes. Being that the pain is getting worse I would call an ambulance ASAP or have someone drive u now. Do not play around with this its better to be safe than sorry. Good Luck.

He's a Shetland Sheepdog. Shyness is a common trait for the breed. I didn't do anything wrong in raising him. In fact, my other Sheltie who is a bit older is the complete opposite. She is not afraid of anything nor even a bit shy. They are both very intelligent. However, she goes to obedience and agility cles but I'm afraid he's just too shy. the week before christmas my family, blasts christmas music, and decorated the tree together. we turn off our fones and any electronics so as not to get distracted. we also take many silly pictures, and we eat pecan pie. on christmas eve my whole family spends the day together. at night we leave chocolate milk, and cookies for santa. we also leave carrots an celery for his raindear .we also watch the movie"the polar express" and read the book "the night before christmas" before going to bead. on christmas morning we wake up early and open half our presents. we then have a big christmas breakfast, and then we open the rest of the presents. after opening the presents we join our other family members at my grandparents house where we open presents from each other, and tell stories.

Need help with a mental/medical issue.?

I have a problem that I've had my entire life. It started when I lost my first tooth. When I did and I saw the blood I ped out and fell into shock. After being on a bed with my legs above my head laying down, I woke up and puked a lot. Now, this was 3-5 years old. I am now 16, and I still have this issue. Not to teeth though. Every time I've had a shot, That happened, except I didn't p out. I would go into shock, go extremely pale with nothing but a feeling of cold. I lost all of the feeling in my arms and legs and I could barely move or breathe. Now Maybe 10-15 minutes afterwards I calmed down and begun to get feeling back into my limbs which really hurt. Overall this has happened many times throughout my life, and I don't like it, I don't know what causes it. I'm not scared of pain, I'm not scared of needles, hell even one time I was prescribed numbing medicine to put on my gums and the first time I put it on I freaked out. Now, In the next 2 weeks I need to get a cavity filled, and when the dentist told me that I had to get a shot in my gums with novacane (it happened today) Just that THOUGHT made me go into shock. I freaked out and they had to get 3 other people to come in because the dentist didn't know what to do. I'm curious to know if anyone else here has this problem, knows someone with the problem, or has heard of it and knows any way to get rid of this un-preventable bodily reaction I have.

Are my guinea pigs eating too much calcium?

I have two guinea pigs and I have been noticing the last few days that there are white urine spots on their fleece bedding. I have heard that means they are eating too much calcium or something?? must be a small system to only need that much...typically the nameplate says what the proper charge is which normally includes up to a certain length of copper tubing,usually 15-25 feet..if copper tubing that connects indoor and outdoor units is longer than that,the mfr calls for so much per foot extra refrigerant..also if a aftermarket drier was installed in the liquid line,they can hold several ounces of refrigerant extra,also the gauge hoses used for charging the unit hold a few ounces,depending on how long they are,,so the total could have been over 3 lbs,and of couse they always "round up" when it comes to the bill.....puron [r410a] units are different from r-22 units in that its more important to do everything by the book as far as evacuating,changing driers,using nitrogen purge while brazing,and getting the refrigerant charge right...if unit is overcharged,it could cause a problem,but it depends how much overcharged..thats why its good with these new systems that take puron to doent all pressure and temp readings on the reciept after repair is complete.....why was this repair even done to begin with??..was there a problem before that still exists?............... .......****added...ok,i havent seen many 10000 btu units but sounds like you have a legit complaint... some times the older techs are used to doing things a certain way and dont adapt to the new sytems...for someone to put in 64 oz. when nameplate calls for 37oz [plus a couple oz. for hose[s] used to charge unit if its charged with liquid] is negligant.........that much extra puron would cause the high side pressure to go way high,probably causing a high pressure switch to open,shutting off compressor,therefore the cool [ room temp] air....the smaller the unit,the more critical the refrigerant charge is...if you overcharge a 5 ton unit that takes 15 lbs of refrigerant by 1.5 pounds,probably wouldnt make that much difference,whereas overcharging your unit by 1.5 lbs [ one point five] causes a problem...you shouldnt have to pay obviously,hopefully the technician / company will do the right thing and correct the refrigerant charge under warrenty.....

Earring Help Please!?

There was a lot of crust on one side of my 14 gauge and i couldn't get to it with a q-tip. So I took it out and cleaned the earring with hot water for abut 1 minute and tried to put it back in. It wouldn't go back in. I tried again. I even lobed it up with neosporin and tried again. Nothing. It started bleeding so I decided to clean it up and then put in my studs. Studs was a little hard to get in but i got it in. But how come my 14 gauges never went in?
