If u2's desire was released today would it be country or rock still?

Ooooo, interesting question mainly because country music today is starting to look and sound more like rock music with every new song. I think that because Rattle&Hum as a whole is a rock album (it would still be hard to get away with something like "Bullet..." or "Pride" on a country album) that the song would be considered rock with americana influences naturally, plus Larry's pulsing drum beat is hard to catagorize as country.
