What would you do if you were in the jury?

Hmm. this is a tough one. I would say that if the child was coaxed by the mother then she wouldn't be adding things each time unless the mother is. I would say Guilty. It's tough though since the mother said she had a pretty good idea that things were happening and never did anything about it. I would make sure that man was never around my children if I thought that was happening.
